Principal:

ICCD Islamic School, a leading Islamic educational institution committed to fostering academic excellence, character development, and spiritual growth, is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to serve as the Principal of our school. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic individual with a deep understanding of Islamic education, strong leadership skills, and a passion for nurturing an environment that promotes both academic and moral growth.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Administrative Leadership:

    • Provide visionary leadership in line with Islamic principles and values.

    • Oversee the overall administration and strategic direction of the school.

  2. Student Discipline:

    • Uphold Islamic ethical standards and values in student conduct.

    • Implement and enforce school rules and policies in a fair and just manner.

    • Work with teachers and staff to address student behavior issues in accordance with Islamic principles.

  3. Teacher Support and Evaluation:

    • Observe and evaluate teachers' performance, providing constructive feedback.

    • Support professional development opportunities for teachers in Islamic education.

    • Foster a collaborative and supportive environment for the teaching staff.

  4. Curriculum Development:

    • Collaborate with educators to develop and implement an Islamic-focused curriculum.

    • Ensure that the curriculum aligns with school standards.

    • Monitor curriculum effectiveness and make adjustments as needed.

  5. Student Support and Counseling:

    • Provide guidance and counseling to students who may be facing academic or personal challenges.

    • Refer students to appropriate support services when necessary.

  6. School Safety and Security:

    • Help create and maintain a safe and secure school environment.

    • Develop and implement emergency response plans.

    • Oversee safety drills and training for staff and students.

  7. Parent and Community Engagement:

    • Communicate with parents about school activities, policies, and student progress.

    • Organize and attend parent-teacher conferences.

    • Foster positive relationships with the local community and encourage community involvement in school activities.

  8. Supervision and Scheduling:

    • Oversee the daily schedule and operations of the school.

    • Coordinate substitute teachers when needed.

    • Supervise non-teaching staff members.

  9. Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Analyze student performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

    • Prepare reports for stakeholders, including the board, parents, and relevant authorities.

  10. Professional Development:

    • Stay updated on the latest educational trends, research, and best practices.

    • Attend professional development workshops and conferences.

  11. Special Education and Inclusion:

    • Support the inclusion of students with special needs in regular classrooms.

    • Collaborate with special education staff to ensure appropriate services for students with disabilities.

  12. Budget Management:

    • Assist in managing the school's budget, including allocating resources for instructional materials, technology, and facilities maintenance.

  13. Assist with School Events:

    • Participate in and help organize school events, such as assemblies, fundraisers, and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in education or a related field.

Extensive experience in educational leadership, preferably in an Islamic school setting.

In-depth knowledge of Islamic teachings and values.

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
